Our story

JMR was founded in 2011 with a vision to build a professional business that adapts to personal commitments. Today, we’ve expanded globally, with a highly skilled team based across the UK, The Americas, Asia and South Africa. To date, we have made placements across 5 continents and 30+ countries, utilising our deep regional expertise and a connected network. Our consultants’ knowledge across these diverse industries allows us to deliver exceptional results and insights for clients worldwide.

JMR brand refresh

To reflect the growth in our team, locations and solutions offered to our clients, we needed a fresh new look and website too!

Expansion into South Africa

In 2025 we will have a dedicated resource in South Africa, focusing predominantly on BPO – the fastest growing market there.

Launch of interim consulting desk

Our best kept secret – until now! JMR has been making interim placements behind the scenes, but is now officially offering this service to clients. We can payroll executives in any country and currency globally.

2024

First US based affiliate, Jim joins the team

Jim Farnsworth – a longtime CX industry veteran – begins working with JMR to help expand our outstanding services even deeper in the United States.

2023

Philippines team expands

Throughout 2023/24 the Philippines team expanded due to the success with Accenture and filling tech & strategy consultancy jobs. The team continues to land more clients, going from strength to strength.

JMR has its best ever year

In 2023 the team at JMR smashed all of their targets to be our best ever year in business!

2022

Shey joined the Philippines team

Shey joined the team as a client partner for Accenture, to work alongside Aisha, to fill level 4-8 roles (senior manager to C-level).

2022

Push on tech jobs

In 2022 we expanded our team with tech specialists. We began partnering growth and mid-size tech businesses, including Harver and Dassault (now 3DS) where we placed their whole people team.

2021

A leader in the BPO sector

Because of our success with Transcom in 2019, JMR focused on becoming a trusted BPO expert. We gained 6 additional BPO clients within a 6 month period.

Lauren joined the team

With a track record working internationally as Head of HR in a Global recruitment environment, Lauren’s wealth of expertise delivers valuable solutions to JMR clients.

Dan joined the team

With over two decades of experience across multiple countries, Dan brings expertise in sales and business development to the team, and of course reunites with Jo & Lindsey.

Official launch in the Philippines

From a client recommendation, we were introduced to Accenture to become a Philippines recruitment partner. Aisha took the helm to onboard the client and scale the team to meet demands.

First Africa job placed

This role launched the BPO, CCI Global, into Kenya with a COO. We also placed a Group CFO for them in the same year.

Aisha joins JMR to head up the Philippines

With an extensive background in recruitment, Aisha brings in her vibrant approach, plus her knowledge of the Philippine culture, client, and candidate landscape to the team.

2020

Covid-19

A year like no other. Business slowed, as it did for many, although we were very grateful it ended on a high for JMR.

2019

Transcom global transformation

To support the transformation of Transcom from a public to a private company, we completed 13 executive hires over two years from Director to C-Level. We did this globally for roles such as Country Leaders, COOs, SVPs, VPs, VP Sales and HRDs.

2018

Philippines placement

We made our first placement in the Philippines for BPO, Sykes. The role was for a Transformation Lead.

Susan joined the team

As an ex-litigator in Australia, Susan joined the team to head up Legal placements across multiple industries.

2017

Japan placement

We made our first placement in Japan.

2017

Series A tech partnership

IntentHQ was our first partnership with a Series A tech start-up. We worked with them to grow their team from 17 to 50 people.

2016

A year of firsts

First official C-level role for a Chief People Officer made, as well as a first Middle East role for a VP – Corporate Partnerships, Dubai.

2015

First placement on a Global PSL

This was to support a global construction toy company based in Denmark, and further propelled JMR into China, US and Europe.

2015

Abbi joined the team

An accomplished Global Account Manager, Abbi joined JMR. In 2021 Abbi was promoted to Head of Recruitment Operations to reflect business growth and the expansion of her role.

2014

First LATAM jobs placed

Here we had a project to launch one of our clients, in Management Consulting, into Mexico with multiple Sales Director roles. The success of this project led to further jobs in Brazil and Argentina.

2014

Formal launch into the US

We launched here partnering with global BPO and consulting businesses, who were head officed in the US. The roles focused on Sales, Ops, Strategy and Consulting Solutions.

2012

Lindsey joined the team

The dream team reunited when Lindsey joined JMR a year after Jo started the business. Lindsey initially came in just to cover Jo’s maternity leave and never left!

2012

First US placements

Our first US placements were Country Managers for the Management Consulting and FMCG sectors.

2011

JMR is founded

Jo founded JMR Global, proving executive search could flex around life commitments and still deliver exceptional results. Jo predominantly worked on placements in the UK and APAC initially.

2000

Early days

Jo and Lindsey start life in recruitment together, Dan later joined the team working in Sydney. Jo, Lindsey and Dan trotted the globe building their global business knowledge for other companies.
